These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Open Pool League mobile application and website at opl-usa.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Open Pool League ("OPL", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Rating manipulation and match-fixing undermine the league for everyone. Violations may result in immediate account suspension.
Match results are submitted by one player and confirmed by the opponent. Both players are responsible for verifying accuracy before confirmation. Once a match is confirmed, ratings are updated automatically.
If you believe a result is incorrect, use the in-app dispute feature before confirming. We reserve the right to reverse or adjust match results if we determine fraud or error has occurred.
ELO ratings are calculated automatically using a standardized algorithm. Ratings are not guaranteed to reflect absolute skill level and may fluctuate based on match outcomes, opponent ratings, and race length.
We reserve the right to adjust the rating algorithm at any time to improve fairness and accuracy. Historical ratings may be recalculated when algorithm changes are made.
Your username, display name, and match data are visible to other registered users. By using the Service, you grant OPL a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display your publicly visible information within the app for the purpose of operating the league.
You retain ownership of any content you submit. We do not claim ownership of your personal information.
Open Pool League is currently free to use during the open beta period. We may introduce paid subscription tiers in the future. If we do, existing features available during the beta will remain clearly communicated, and any payment terms will be presented before you are charged.
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to the respective platform's billing terms and refund policies.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at admin@opl-usa.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in rating manipulation, or conduct that harms other players or the integrity of the league. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except in cases of severe or repeated violations.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
ELO ratings, rankings, and statistics are provided for informational and entertainment purposes. They should not be relied upon as an official measure of skill for any purpose outside of Open Pool League.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OPL and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of ratings, or interruption of service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
For material changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify active users through the App before the changes take effect.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the applicable courts.
